Orthodontics
Orthodontics is a dental specialty that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of improper bites and crooked teeth. Orthodontists use special appliances, such as braces or clear aligners, to align and straighten teeth. This helps patients achieve beautiful smiles. These devices are worn over your teeth and can be adjusted over time as your teeth shift.
Braces
Braces are orthodontic appliances commonly used to correct a variety of smile issues, including crooked, crowded, or gapped teeth. Our dentist can recommend the best type of treatment for you, depending on the severity of your misalignment.
Clear Aligners
Invisalign® is a type of orthodontic treatment that uses a series of clear plastic aligners to straighten your teeth. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign aligners are removable, which means you can eat and drink whatever you want during treatment.

Dr. Richard E. Jones, II
DDS, MS
“I love coming to work every day and having the opportunity to interact with my patients. Orthodontics is such an exciting field, both intellectually as technological advancements continue to evolve at a rapid pace, and emotionally as I greatly enjoy building relationships with the people I help.
I strive to get to know my patients better at every appointment, so having orthodontic treatment with me is typically both fun and educational. Patients learn a lot about their treatment and will always feel informed about what the next steps are in creating their new, beautiful smile. When their orthodontic treatment is complete, whether Invisalign or braces, their smile represents an experience that will always be remembered!” – Dr. Jones
Dr. Richard E. Jones, II has been an orthodontist in private practice in Indianapolis, Indiana, and then moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 2010 to open Arctic Smiles Orthodontics, which is now recognized as the COOLEST place for Invisalign or braces in Scottsdale.
