Paradise Valley Braces

Paradise Valley Braces

Teeth alignment issues, such as crowding or gaps between teeth, can cause unwanted strain on your jaw muscles over time. More serious bite misalignment can lead to pain and discomfort in your jaws and headaches. By choosing orthodontic treatments like braces in Paradise Valley, you can correct these issues and improve your overall oral health.

Orthodontic treatments are often recommended for younger patients because their teeth are still developing and are more malleable. However, adults can also benefit from these treatments.

What Are the Different Types of Paradise Valley Braces?

These are the most common type of Paradise Valley Braces:

Traditional Metal Braces

They are made of high-grade stainless steel and are effective at straightening teeth, even in cases of severe misalignment. The brackets themselves are bonded to the teeth with a special adhesive. Wires are then attached to the brackets using elastic bands.

These wires apply pressure to the teeth, slowly moving them into their proper positions over time. Once treatment has been completed, the braces and bands are removed, and the teeth are polished to ensure a clean finish.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are a great aesthetic alternative for patients who want the efficiency of traditional metal braces but with the benefit of being less noticeable. These braces are made from clear materials and are, therefore, more discreet than metal braces. The ceramic material used in these types of braces is stain-resistant as well.

Invisalign® Clear Aligners

This treatment uses a series of custom-made plastic aligners to straighten the teeth over time. Each set of aligners is worn for about two weeks, and then the patient moves on to the next set in the series.

Treatment with clear aligners often requires fewer office visits than traditional braces and is far more convenient. Not only are the aligners clear and virtually invisible when worn, but they are also removable to allow patients to eat their favorite foods and clean their teeth much more easily.

How Long Will I Have to Wear Paradise Valley Braces?

The treatment time varies depending on the patient’s age, current dental health, and the extent of the problem. On average, it takes about 18 months for metal braces to straighten the teeth and another six months for the orthodontist to tighten the archwires.

For accelerated orthodontic care, patients may wear clear aligners for about a year. When you choose clear aligners for your orthodontic treatment, we will use X-rays and impressions of your teeth to create a treatment plan with a series of custom-fit aligners.

These aligner trays are worn for about two weeks before switching them out for a new pair in the series according to the plan designed specifically for you. Every two weeks or so, you’ll visit our office so we can monitor your progress and give you the next set of aligners in your series.
